Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Steles
Founded in the Northern Song Dynasty, the Xi'an Stele Forest Museum houses over 3,000 steles and epitaphs dating from the Han to the Qing dynasties, earning it the title "Library of Stone." The collection features landmark works in Chinese calligraphy history, including Yan Zhenqing's *Multibodhi Stele*, Liu Gongquan's *Xuanmi Tower Stele*, and Huaisu's *Thousand Character Classic*.
Rubbing Craft
Toshu is a unique Chinese replication technique with over 1,500 years of history. Under the guidance of expert instructors, you will learn the complete process: laying paper, moistening, hammering, and inking. As the rice paper is gently peeled away, the inscriptions from the stone stele emerge clearly—a moment that truly feels like conversing with the ancients.
Family Experience
The rubbing experience is perfect for families with children. Through hands-on activities, kids explore the history of Chinese characters and immerse themselves in the charm of traditional culture. Completed rubbings can be framed into scrolls, serving as cherished travel souvenirs and cultural keepsakes.
